2018 Mainstage


We are looking for cast members for our 2018 Mainstage show!

Directed by Kim Sykes, Artistic Director

This Years Theme:

“This Is What Democracy Looks Like…”

What To Prepare:

Two monologues about what democracy means to you, what you would change, or what you love about it. How it affects your life, family, and work. Got a song that may be a better national anthem? Want to talk about the Founding Fathers, George Washington, Frederick Douglas, or the courts? It’s up to you! Tell us how you wish to change this country for the better.

Auditions are open to alumni, 2nd year Sunday workshop participants, and current/active performers only.

Timeline Requirements:

January 23rd – Casting decisions will be finalized. Cast will be notified.

February 4th -First rehearsal/meeting/writing with cast and crew. Cast will be given a fact sheet and all materials relating to the theme. We will also give prompts for writing.

Feb 11th – End of March – Meet twice a week to workshop pieces, work on script. Dates will be determined by all cast availability..

March – REHEARSALS AND WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH Already written pieces are workshopped, then they can perform them at paid performances during women’s history month. Extra income is possible during this time.

April – Weekly rehearsals on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

April 31 and May 1st Monday and Tuesday All day – PERFORMANCE Tech.

At Daryl Roth Theater (DR2)

May 2 thru May 6th
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday @7pm and Sunday @2pm.

May 9 thru May 13th
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday @7PM and Sunday @2pm

Pay is hourly for rehearsals
Flat fee for show
