Thank you for spending the evening with us at our third annual Gotta Love Girls Gala.
It means so much to us to come together as members of the Girl Be Heard family, celebrate our youth, and honor the amazing women who serve as their inspiring mentors and role models.
We hope you enjoyed your night out with us—especially our special performance, starring just a few of our phenomenal young women. Their art, activism, and leadership remind us that our future is in good hands…but we have to play our part too.
As you can see, our free programs are transforming the lives of these girls, as well as the lives of all those whose hearts they touch with their passionate work. Imani, Jai, Ray, Eva, Me’Khai, Kemara, Halle, Jewel, and Lise are but ten girls of the hundreds more we are serving in schools and community-based settings on a daily basis.
Here’s how you can continue to make a difference:
Our programs truly need your support. We hope you will consider a gift that is meaningful to you, and encourage others to donate. Gifts can be made here online, or via check to Girl Be Heard, 20 Jay Street, Suite 210B, Brooklyn, NY 11201.
Girl Be Heard is seeking producers for our 2017 mainstage show. Blurred Lines explores the impact of campus sexual assault, consent, and rape in our society, raises awareness about this critical issue, and inspires healing through storytelling. Contact Kim Sykes at firstname.lastname@example.org to support this groundbreaking production and empower the next generation to end cycles of sexual violence.
We deeply appreciate your support and look forward to sharing our work with you in 2017. Your support is invaluable to us, and never forget: You got girl power!
