Women’s March NYC and the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) are excited to announce that we will co-chair the 2019 Women’s Unity Rally in New York City. Women’s March NYC is the OFFICIAL NYC chapter of Women’s March — part of the national & global movement. The Women’s Unity Rally in NYC will highlight the leadership of Black women, immigrant women and women of color as part of the national #WomensWave, and in response to the Trump Administration’s continued assault on immigrant communities and communities of color. Organization will rally to demand justice for women, communities of color, immigrant families, gender-nonconforming individuals, all-faith practitioners, and people with disabilities.

GBH Unplugged is an informal open mic event that brings together girls from Sunday Workshops with girls from our after school programs. The material presented included new work developed over the course of fall workshops by our 2017-2018 workshop members and pieces developed in the classrooms. Topics included family, race, gender, body image, sexuality, school, bullying, and other themes around what it means to be a girl today.

Moms Demand Action campaigns for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes that jeopardize the safety of our families. Moms Demand Action has established a chapter in every state of the country and, along with Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Students Demand Action and the Everytown Survivor Network, it is part of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than 5 million supporters and more than 350,000 donors.
