Angela Ramos is a born and raised Colombian of Italian descent Actor, Singer/Songwriter, and Activist. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in Theatre and Political Science at Queens College CUNY. Angela joined Girl Be Heard in 2018 as the Artistic Fellow/Feminist-in-Residence and continues to be inspired to create and share by all the work that is left to do in this world. Her songwriting is influenced by bolero, Bossanova, jazz, and soul; she aspires to become a bridge for all these genres that have nurtured her artistry. Her writing reflects her passion for women’s rights, environmental justice, and the dynamics of power in politics. She is the current Production Intern at Manhattan Theatre Club and is working in an original song-cycle about female empowerment called The Lady Power Project.
