Celines Sims - Board Chair

Celines Sims is a first generation American of Puerto Rican decent (Yauco and Aguada). As the first person in her family to graduate from college and the youngest person to graduate from her Master’s Program, Celines is an advocate for women’s leadership, development and empowerment. As a Director at Citi, she leads major Human Resources transformations, coaches executives and leads initiatives focused on process improvement driving efficiency, effectiveness and change management across the global organization. Celines is also part of the Citi Women’s Network of NYC Steering Committee which leads, guides and provides programming for professional women across the tristate area. Prior to joining Citi, Celines held HR roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, American Express, and Johnson & Johnson. Celines is Chair of the Board for Girl Be Heard, a non-profit organization that develops, amplifies and celebrates the voices of young women through socially conscious theatre-making. She is chairperson of the Compensation committee and also serves on the Executive/Governance and Finance/Audit committees. Celines holds a B.A. in Psychology from Fairfield University in Connecticut; an M.S. in Human Resources Management from the New School for Social Research in NYC, and is also ABD (All but dissertation) in her pursuit of a PhD in Management from Capella University. Born and raised in Northern NJ, Celines resides in the suburbs with her husband Kyle, two children: Cecelia and Matthew, and two mini Dachshunds – Blackjack and Cleo.
