In honor of Black History Month, also known as Black Futures Month, we celebrated the transformative work and achievements of Black people while also recognizing our struggles and sacrifices. We celebrate Black joy and dream about the future for our people and communities!
As we transition into Women’s History month, we will highlight the incredible women in our Artistic Company through photos and videos from our Organize! photoshoot. Here is a sneak peek!
In other news, we are excited about continuing GBH’s 2022-2023 programming in 13 sites across NYC. Girl Make Movies, a FREE immersive, hands-on experience exploring documentary-style filmmaking’s art and technique, began this week! Our programs this year also include our Be! Workshops, Artistic Company, After-School Workshop, and Weekend Workshop art residencies.
